Ben is the Managing Member of Frontier Charging. He has spent the majority of his career in the non-profit sector helping to better our local communities. As the Director of the Montana Weatherization Training Center at Montana State University, Ben successfully obtained and managed federal, state, and private grants to work with local contractors and state agencies assessing and correcting energy deficiencies in low-income housing. As a contractor with the Department of Energy's Weatherization Assistance Program, Ben helped administer federal energy programs, working closely with state Grantees to ensure their success. He’s seen first-hand the struggles our rural communities face and is committed to energy programs that move the needle in these places, while retaining the characteristics that make them so special. His innovative approaches to complex issues have won him numerous awards over the years and Ben is using his skills and experience to propel national energy programs toward success. He holds degrees in zoology, environmental conservation, and civil/environmental engineering, as well as numerous teaching certifications in EH&S and building science.
